A two-sided self-adhesive, the GCP Applied Technologies Preprufe detail tape is a formulated tape whose both the bottom and top sides feature a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

The top side of the tape is furnished with a release liner along with a protective coating that is resistant to weather. The product provides the structure with an integral and continuous seal. Besides, it not only enhances the stability of the structure but makes it more competent and long-lasting. Having applications in various niches, the Preprufe detail tape is mainly employed in adherence to the areas with penetration, end laps, protrusions, and several tie-ins. Also, it is used to fix up the damaged areas in the GCP waterproof membranes. The substrate has to be free of dirt and moisture in order to get smooth and maximize adhesion. For a satisfactory result, the use of a roller is recommended for proper adhesion.
PREPRUFE Tape is a 4 in. (100 mm) wide tape used in detail areas including end laps, penetrations, and various tie-ins. It is also used to patch damaged areas in the PREPRUFE membranes, PREPRUFE CJ Tape is an 8 in. (200 mm) wide tape used at construction joints in the concrete that is cast against it or in critical areas where a wider tape is required.
