Synthetic and non-skinning, this Tremco Acoustical is a single component rubber sealant that does not harden
This strong sealant is extremely sound damping and durable. Having the feature to be employed in various niches, this one-part sealant is highly versatile. It was initially formulated for auditory sealing of the curtainwalls, corridors, and drywall partitions to fill in the voids and thereby curtailing the sounds transmitted by air. Later on, this sealant also started to be employed as an adhesive for lap joints of polyethylene vapor barriers and fiberglass batt insulation or polystyrene to attach them.
Tremco Acoustical/Curtainwall Sealant was developed for acoustical sealing of drywall partitions, curtainwalls, corridors and party walls. This sealant also is used as a lap joint and perimeter sealant for polyethylene vapor barriers over fiberglass batt or other insulations and may be used in contact with polystyrene.
