DOWSIL CONTRACTORS PAINTABLE SEALANT 10.1 OZ

Dowsil Contractors Paintable Sealant (CPS) is a hybrid, paintable sealant combining the benefits of silicones and polyurethanes.

Dowsil CPS is a one-component, hybrid sealant with superior elastomeric properties. Designed to cure quickly, once tack-free, it can be painted, providing a hassle-free solution to seal and protect surfaces. When cured, the high-movement sealant exhibits impressive capabilities, extending and compressing up to ±50 percent of original joint width.

What is Dow Contractors Paintable Sealant used for?

Dowsil Contractors Paintable Sealant (CPS) is used for weather-sealing building enclosures, such as windows, doors, gutters, vents/ducts, roofs, siding, molding/trim and is suitable for the following substrates: 

  • Concrete
  • Masonry
  • Aluminum
  • Steel
  • Wood
  • Vinyl
  • Plastic sidings 
At a temperature of 77°F and 50% relative humidity, the sealant will skin within 30 minutes to an hour. However, for a through cure at a depth of 3/8", it may take 7 to 14 days. These time frames are important to keep in mind to ensure the sealant cures properly and meets your project requirements.
